eMotion Fleet Signs Agreement with ASKUL LOGIST to Support 100% Fleet Electrification

eMotion Fleet has entered into a service level agreement with ASKUL LOGIST CO., LTD. Under this agreement, eMotion Fleet will provide comprehensive and long-term support for ASKUL LOGIST’s fleet electrification, from planning to deployment and operations, in line with its goal to fully electrify its fleet by 2030.
ASKUL LOGIST, a subsidiary of ASKUL Corporation, is actively pursuing its goal of converting 100% of its delivery fleet to EVs by 2030 as part of The Climate Group’s global initiative EV100, in which its parent company is a member of. This initiative aims to reduce environmental impact and establish a sustainable logistics system in line with decarbonization efforts.
To realize ASKUL LOGIST’s EV100 commitment, eMotion Fleet will support the planning, deployment, and operation of EVs and charging infrastructure. This will include conducting depot electrification simulations to develop optimal EV and charging infrastructure deployment plans while balancing cost and CO₂ emissions reductions. Following the planning phase, eMotion Fleet will facilitate procurement negotiations and necessary arrangements for EVs and charging infrastructure to ensure an efficient deployment process. After deployment, eMotion Fleet will continuously support the operations to manage EVs, chargers, and energy to establish a sustainable and efficient EV operation system.
Through this agreement, eMotion Fleet will assist ASKUL LOGIST in addressing key challenges related to fleet electrification, improving delivery uptime, and advancing its decarbonization initiatives. Furthermore, eMotion Fleet aims to build ASKUL LOGIST’s fleet electrification model as benchmark for small and medium-sized logistics companies in Japan, thereby contributing to the next-generation logistics and a sustainable society.
